Unser erster Tag in den Philippinen startet erst spät, da wir mitten in der Nacht angereist sind. Trotzdem wollen wir unbedingt die riesige Hauptstadt besichtigen und uns in das Verkehrschaos stürzen. Unsere Tour beginnt am Fort Santiago, wo uns die Sonne richtig aufheizt. Ein idyllischer Park mitten in einer früheren Abwehranlage.

Anschliessend schlendern wir durch die verkehrsreichen Strassen und entlang der Manila Bay bis uns die Füsse schmerzen und wir eine erste Bar aufsuchen müssen.

Der anschliessende Besuch der grössten Shopping Mal auf den Philippinen zeigt uns eindrücklich, wie sich das Land entwickelt hat. Hier kann alles gekauft werden. Auch sämtliche uns bekannten Marken wie etwa die frisch gekauften Hawaianas von Sändy gibt es hier.

Nach dem anstrengenden Tag haben wir uns eine Abkühlung im Pool auf dem 32. Stock unseres Hotels verdient.
